Dr. Stephen Henry earned a bachelor’s degree in animal physiology from the University of California Davis in 1976. He furthered his studies at the University of Southern California, obtaining a master’s degree in human physiology in 1977. Dr. Henry’s path then led him to dental school at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where he graduated in 1981. Since 1983, he has been serving the Foster City community with his dental expertise.
He is dedicated to remaining a lifelong learner, so he can provide top-notch dentistry to his patients. Dr. Henry focuses on delivering care in a comfortable and pleasant manner, always prioritizing educating patients about their oral health.
Dedicated to continuous learning, Dr. Henry completes over 150 hours of continuing education courses each year. His involvement in the UCSF School of Dentistry’s continuing education department since 1985 testifies to his dedication to staying up-to-date in the field. He is also a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, an achievement earned by less than 2 percent of dentists in North America.
Dr. Henry’s expertise covers several areas, including esthetics, TMD, sleep apnea, laser dentistry, implant surgery, and restorative dentistry. He is a proud member of esteemed organizations like the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo County Dental Society, the Craniomandibular Institute, the Adept Institute, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Moreover, his leadership roles have included serving as the president of the Northern California Academy of General Dentistry and the San Mateo County Dental Society.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Henry finds joy in his family life. He’s been married to his wife, Becky, since 1981. They have three children – sons Matt and David, and daughter Lauren. During his leisure time, Dr. Henry indulges in fitness activities, skiing adventures, photography, and music.
